Human Rights Act 1998

  1. The 12 articles of the human right legislation are in place to make sure that there is a baseline way that people live their lives. This includes being paid correctly, not being forced to be slaves, having food, water, clothes and medicine etc.  
  2. Public authorities are allowed to interfere with the right to a private life if it will help with something like an investigation. This can include something to do with national security or public security. Generally, the authority will make an assessment on whether it is safe to inform you that an investigation into you is taking place.
